Pakistan Super League (PSL) was a major success last year. Season two of the PSL was a breakthrough season for Pakistan as they managed to take international cricket back to Pakistan after 8 long years as a few international participants from both the teams agreed to fly to Lahore and play the final at the Gaddafi Stadium.
However, PSL is going to get bigger and better this year as there are two new teams. Out of those two teams, Multan Sultan has a pretty solid board as their Director of Cricket is none other than Wasim Akram. Akram is a great character to have on the board as he has a great understanding of the game. He also has experience coaching in the IPL as he was associated with the Kolkata Knight Riders team. However, Multan Sultan is now even more upgraded as they announced their coach.
Tom Moody appointed the head coach
Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody has been a major figure in cricket. He has coached many international teams and has been very much successful with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL as well. That experience will help him get the best out of their players in their first PSL season.
Moody was extremely happy and looks forward to working with Wasim. “I am looking forward to being involved with Multan Sultans next year for the PSL and partnering-up with my old mate Wasim Akram,” he said. He also mentioned that great things lie ahead as he looks to nurture some young talent. “Great things ahead for the new side in the PSL. Looking forward to working with all the local talent and putting together a great team for the success in the future,” Moody said.
