The record for highest number of centuries in Tests belongs to the one and only Sachin Tendulkar of India, who has 51 centuries in 200 matches. He scored 15,291 runs at an average of 53.78 and the highest score of 248* against Bangladesh.

Tendulkar holds almost every batting record in Test and ODI cricket. He broke Sunil Gavaskar’s record for 34 centuries in 2005 when he scored his 35th century against Sri Lanka in Delhi. He is the first and only player to play 200 Test matches, which he did in Mumbai, also his last Test. He scored a total of 100 centuries in international cricket, with 49 centuries in ODIs to go with 51 in Test cricket.
