7. Brian Lara – 34 centuries:
Brian Lara retired from Test cricket in 2006 after playing 131 matches and scoring the then record 11,953 runs, breaking the record of Allan Border at the time. He also hit the then joint second 34 centuries in Test cricket with the world record score of 400* as his best score. In a career spanning 16 years he averaged 52.88 and broke the record for the highest individual score 2 times in his career, the only man to do so ever in Test cricket.
