<p>Arguably one of the greatest one-day batsmen of all time Sourav Ganguly is placed seventh on the list. His dominance over the off-side is a well known fact to all cricket followers. Ganguly&#8217;s ability to pierce the gaps and score big runs made him a successful one-day player. <p>Sehwag is a hard hitting batsman and a nightmare for the bowlers, he is yet another player for whom the format of the game doesn&#8217;t matter as he always plays his style of cricket which is &#8216;see the ball- hit the ball&#8217;. <p>Considered as the most exhilarating batsman of modern age, Gilchrist was simply known for smashing the bowlers all around the park. Test matches or ODIs his style of playing hardly seemed to change, the only aim he had while playing was to &#8216;hit the ball hard&#8217; and it did work for him. <p>Ricky Pointing undoubtedly is one of the most successful Test captain of all time at the same time a prolific batsman and Australia&#8217;s most successful run-maker after Sir Bradman. The two time World Cup winning captain has always been among the runs. Pointing had every shot in his arsenal which made him a great batsman of his time. <p>Sangakkara is known to be the one of the most elegant left-handed batsman to have played the game. His ever quenching appetite for runs seemed to grow along with his career, this wicket-keeping batsman favours the cuts and pull shots as it comes naturally for him. Kumar Sangakkara is currently the second highest run scorer in ODIs, he is ranked third in the list with 1385 fours under his name.</p>
