The former South African all-rounder was splendid with the bat and did handle the responsibility of the South African batting in quite a single-handed fashion on a number of times. In a total of 305 won matches, Kallis struck a total of 35 centuries which was supplemented by 89 half centuries. He scored 14827 runs at an average of 55.32.
