1. ABD avalanche 149 (44) & 162*(66), Gayle Storm 215 (147):

With 11.3 overs remaining, ABD set a magnificent display of pinch hitting in a majestic fashion by hitting the fastest century ever while scoring 149 runs of just 44 balls. In the process, he also equalled Rohit Sharma’s record of 16 sixes in an innings. Such a great knock it was, that made Gayle bow down to him in respect.
Just months later into the World Cup, de Villiers put up yet another spectacle leaving everyone’s jaw open in awe. And this time, he went on to score the fastest 150 off 64 balls against the same opponent. ABD displayed the mix of unorthodox and simply unbelievable shots, lofting 8 sixes and smashing 17 fours in his unbeaten innings of 162*(66).
After a prolonged patch with the bat, Chris Gayle recaptured his menacing form as he sent the Zimbabwean bowlers on a leather hunt. Displaying a masterclass of power hitting, Gayle blasted the fastest double century in ODIs and first in a World Cup game. During the course of the gigantic knock, Gayle also brought up 9,000 ODI runs and equalled Rohit Sharma and de Villiers for the most sixes in an ODI innings. His incredible effortless sixers put smiles on the faces of even the most discerning cricket fan.
