Not long ago in 2018, when Shimron Hetmyer had announced himself in international cricket, the fans on social media had highly praised the southpaw for his explosive batting. Even while later touring to India, the Indian fans had exceedingly admired his match-winning causes which also had fancied his chances of bagging his debut IPL contract in 2019.

However, with Hetmyer awfully failing in his first season despite being bought for a sizable amount of INR 4.2 Crores, the RCB fans specifically had trolled him for his malfunction. Even in terms of his fitness, Hetmyer was highly ridiculed especially when he was dropped for the home T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Overall, regardless of his current batting form, Shimron Hetmyer’s batting post-pandemic has surely come to a decline which perhaps has further allowed a green signal for trollers to repeatedly mock him both for his inconsistency and for his constant gloomy shows.
