This time also, Karthik sparked a bidding war which saw his price escalate to Rs. 10.5 crores. RCB payed this much money to avail the services of Dinesh Kartik to replace Parthiv Patel, who was traded to Mumbai Indians in the trading window in December 2014. 1. Yuvraj Singh Rs.16,00,00,000 DD DD were the ultimate winners, buying Yuvraj for INR 16 crores. Yuvraj who was bought for 14 crore INR last year by RCB, played just one season for them and top scored their batting record. But RCB decided to put him back into the auction this year to recover the price they paid for him. This year DD needed a big name player for their team and went all out for Yuvraj Singh along with RCB who raised the amount with each bid. But DD were the ultimate winners, buying Yuvraj for INR 16 crores, which makes him the highest paid player in IPL history. Incidentally he also occupies the second spot on the list.
