It was the 2nd Test of the two-match series in Bangladesh. West Indies started their innings with a trail of 387 runs. Having come into bat at 43-2, Samuels had a marathon stay of 618 minutes at the crease. He had good partnerships with DM Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (both scoring centuries). But it was Samuels who went on to steal the show with a gritty 260. He was dismissed by Rubel Hossain. The damage was already done, though; Samuels hit 31 fours and 3 sixes before being dismissed. The Windies went on to win the match by 10 wickets.
