India had an uphill task in front of them when Australia, after choosing to bat first in the 2nd ODI, put up a giant total of 359/5 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur in 2013. However, the chase was made to look very uncompetitive as Indian top order displayed one of the most dominating batting display. Openers Shikhar Dhawan (95) was the aggressor in the outstanding opening partnership of 176 runs with Rohit Sharma. Sharma then combined with Virat Kohli and chased down the target with ease. The match did not particularly belong to Rohit Sharma but he batted from start till the end for his 141 runs off 123 balls and allowed India to knock off the mammoth target against Australia for the first time and rewrite countless records.
