This was another killer of an innings from Chris, though he was quite and patient in the first over against Sandeep Sharma of the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) but it was the wait before the Gayle Storm. The second over by Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson saw him break the shackles and the Caribbean accumulated 20 runs from it. What followed then on was a complete dominance from him and the bowlers looked meeky and helpless. Gayle smashed as many as 12 huge sixes in his innings many of which even went on to hit the roof of the stadium. He scored 100 runs from 48 balls and by the time left-arm spinner Axar Patel got him on the 57th ball of his innings Gayle had already piled on 117 runs.

The hard hitting Australian, Andrew Symonds recorded the 8th best score in IPL when he played against Rajasthan Royal while playing for Deccan Chargers in 2008. Despite of getting good start, his side lost early wickets. But Symonds, who came at No.4 went hard on Royals’ bowlers. He got good support from Rohit, stopping the fall of wickets which allowed Symo to go high. Symonds brought up his century in 47 balls after completing fifty in 29 balls. He finished unbeaten on 117 off 53 balls with help of 11 fours and 7 sixes.

Sehwag played one of the best T20 knocks ever for his home team Delhi Daredevils in 2011 against Deccan Chargers. DC scored 175 batting first but Delhi kept losing wickets from the first over itself in the big chase. Delhi were 3 down for 25 when the Delhi captain Sehwag decided to take the charge as he hit the bowlers to fence. He kept the strike with him and taken his side towards the target. Sehwag took 27 balls for his fifty but managed to complete his ton in just 48 balls. He finally departed in 17th over with score 153 on the board, of which he scored 119. His innings included 13 fours and 6 sixes.

Young Valthaty came into lime light when he struck a big century against Mighty Chennai Super Kings. In chase of 189 for KXIP against CSK, Valthaty led his side towards victory with a gritty knock. Indian Dashing opener, Virender Sehwag showed his worth during the qualifier game where he thwacked Chennai Super Kings’ bowlers right from the moment of go. The way he was going, CSK were happy even when an over costed 10 runs. He completed his fifty in 21 balls and later slowed down a bit but managed to go past 100 in just 50 balls. Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, McCullum shared 50-run stands for all the four wickets and scored about 35 runs in each of them, showing his dominance. He completed his fifty in 32 balls and took 21 more balls for his century. He became more dangerous after that as he reached his 150 in just 70 deliveries and remained unbeaten 158 in just 73 balls which had 10 fours and 13 sixes.

This was another killer of an innings from Chris, though he was quite and patient in the first over against Sandeep Sharma of the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) but it was the wait before the Gayle Storm. The second over by Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson saw him break the shackles and the Caribbean accumulated 20 runs from it. What followed then on was a complete dominance from him and the bowlers looked meeky and helpless. Gayle smashed as many as 12 huge sixes in his innings many of which even went on to hit the roof of the stadium. He scored 100 runs from 48 balls and by the time left-arm spinner Axar Patel got him on the 57th ball of his innings Gayle had already piled on 117 runs.

The hard hitting Australian, Andrew Symonds recorded the 8th best score in IPL when he played against Rajasthan Royal while playing for Deccan Chargers in 2008. Despite of getting good start, his side lost early wickets. But Symonds, who came at No.4 went hard on Royals’ bowlers. He got good support from Rohit, stopping the fall of wickets which allowed Symo to go high. Symonds brought up his century in 47 balls after completing fifty in 29 balls. He finished unbeaten on 117 off 53 balls with help of 11 fours and 7 sixes.

Indian Dashing opener, Virender Sehwag showed his worth during the qualifier game where he thwacked Chennai Super Kings’ bowlers right from the moment of go. The way he was going, CSK were happy even when an over costed 10 runs. He completed his fifty in 21 balls and later slowed down a bit but managed to go past 100 in just 50 balls. His blistering innings finally came to an end in 19th over when he holed while he was on 122 in 58 balls with 12 fours and 8 sixes.

Along with Hayden, he began the innings well and later continued when he received an excellent support from Morkel. Vijay stood at 40 in 27 balls at half way stage but his monster batting began only after that. He kept scoring about 10-15 runs in every over since then. He went past his fifty in 30 balls but took just 16 balls for completing his second fifty. He kept hitting well till his innings end when he holed out at deep midwicket in last over of the innings. His innings of 127 came off 55 balls which included 8 fours and 11 mighty blows.

They Gayle show touched the Feroz Shah Kotla when he faced the hosts, Delhi Daredevils. Gayle started quite slowly as he was at 35 at halfway stage. But he started his storm after that as he reached his fifty in just 37 balls. From a stage of 38 in 34 balls, Gayle accelerated to century by the 53rd ball he faced. He added more at the end and remained unbeaten on 128 in 62 balls with help of 13 mighty sixes and 7 fours.
