Another Australian enters this list at the 7th position. Neil Harvey is widely regarded by his team-mates as one of the best batsmen Australia ever produced. Harvey scored 205 runs at the MCG against South Africa in the 1952-53 Test series. The southpaw’s mammoth contribution helped Aussies amass a total of 520 in the first innings although, they eventually succumbed to defeat by the hand of Proteas.
