2. Brendon Mccullum 158* (73 balls) v RCB, 2008:
Brendon McCullum introduced the flavour of T20 and IPL with a marvelous 158* against the hosts, Royal Challengers Bangalore. His innings consisted of 10 fours and 13 sixes. McCullum treated the RCB attack with no respect. He played every shot in the book from straight hit to paddle sweep and slog sweep that could be intimidating for the faster bowlers. Rahul Dravid, who was captaining the Bangalore team, had no answer to the rampage by the New Zealander. KKR posted a whopping total of 222 for the loss of 3 wickets in the inaugural match of the Indian Premier League.
