The Calypso King was on a robust mood, as the southpaw blundered the Sri Lankan attack in style. Chris Gayle complimented the Galle wind with his thunder filled knock as the veteran notched up his maiden triple century in Test cricket. Gayle smashed 9 sixes and 34 boundaries before Ajanta Mendis cleaned him up.

Chris celebrated the feat in style by getting laid flat on his back as he cherished every bit of it. West Indies went on to score 580 and pushed the Lankan side to follow on. Sri Lanka hanged on for the duration as the match ended in a draw.
