Top 10 highest individual scores on debut by Indians in ODIs: We often talk about how great a player becomes in his sport, but what we fail to realize is the fact that how his journey began. Let’s have a look at the Top 10 highest individual scores on debut by Indians in ODIs: 10. Ravindra Jadeja- 60 Runs: Ravindra Jadeja. With three triple centuries in the domestic circuit Jadeja showed up his skill with the bat, an innings of 60 runs in his debut match against Sri Lanka in 2009 at Colombo on the International level the left-arm all-rounder ranks ninth in the all time best debut scorers for India in ODIs. 9. Ambati Rayudu- 63 Runs: Ambati Rayudu. Although late to arrive at the international stage, Rayudu packs his punch as this pint size cricketer is no newbie he can smash you for a six and at the same time can play delicate shots. With his unbeaten 63 against Zimbabwe in 2013 Rayudu ranks eight on the list. 8. Sandeep Patil- 64 Runs: Indian cricketer Sandeep Patil. Sandeep was known for his aggressive style of batting and his big hits, with 64 runs on his debut match against Australia in 1980 Sandeep ranks seventh on the list. 7. Raman Lamba- 64 Runs: Raman Lamba hails from Uttar Pradesh and played four Tests and 32 ODIs for India. With a score of 67 runs in his debut match Ajit Wadekar ranks fifth in the list. 5. Manish Pandey- 71 Runs: Manish Pandey. He was the first Indian batsman to score a century in IPL, Manish’s batting skill makes him a great aspect for the future of Indian cricket team. With 71 runs in his debut match Manish Pandey bags the fourth position on the list. 4. Navjot Sidhu- 73 Runs: Navjot Singh Sidhu. His ruthlessness for spin was remarkable as he smashed the bowlers all-round the park. Sidhu made his ODI debut against Australia in 1987 scoring 73 runs, he ranks third in the list of best debut scorers for India in ODIs. 3. Considered as the glamour-boy of the game, Patel was capable of ripping apart the best bowling attacks in the world. He scored 82 runs with a strike rate of 105+ in his debut match, Patel ranks second in the list of best debut scorers for India in ODIs. 2. Robin Uthappa- 86 Runs: Robin Uthappa. Robin’s ability to play all-around the wicket and willingness to play the ball in the air made him a lethal asset to have, however his temperament has been a big problem in his career. With a debut score of 86 runs Uthappa tops the list of best debut scorers for India in ODIs. 1. His inception to the limited overs format was pretty smooth. Rahul came out to open the bat with an easy 169 runs target at sight in the series opener. He batted calmly and avoided any unnecessary risks to help India chase down the target with 9 wickets in hands, hitting 100 runs off just 115 balls. His approach towards the task was commendable.
