10. Afghanistan – 191/5 vs Zimbabwe, Bulawayo, 2015
Afghanistan has become a brilliant team in the last 2-3 years. They qualified for their first ICC World Cup ever in 2015 and also won a match in the tournament against Scotland and almost gave Sri Lanka a heart attack in their group game.
They ended their 2015 on a high with a T20 series win over Test-playing nation Zimbabwe and their best performance came in the second T20I. Zimbabwe batted first and scored 190/7, thanks to Sean Williams’ 54 and worthy contributions from Richmond Mutumbami and Captain Elton Chigumbura.
The Afghan chase was anchored by Usman Ghani (65 off 45 balls) and Gulbadin Naib (56 off 31 balls). Naib hit the winning runs off Chris Mpofu on the penultimate ball of the last over to clinch an exciting match with 5 wickets in the hand and won the 2 match T20I series 2-0.
