England had a pretty bad first half after conceding a mammoth 229/4 in 20 overs against South Africa in the Group 1 Super 10 league match of the World T20 2016 at the Wankhede, Mumbai. The England batsmen, however, didn’t take the pressure despite having a gigantic target to chase and showed great amount of intent and determination to chase down the colossal target astonishment everyone. Jason Roy (43 from 16 balls) and Alex Hales (17 from 7 balls) gave a crackling start to the innings smashing Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn merciless before hales lost his wicket to Kyle Abbott in the 3rd of the match. Roy and Ben Stokes then departed in consecutive overs. Skipper Eoin Morgan also could not do anything significant. However, Joe Root (83 from 44 balls) was unbothered and ransacked the Protea bowlers to see his team steps away from the win. Moeen Ali completed the formalities steering his team past the finishing line with two balls and two wickets to spare.
