Bangladesh batsmen had a wonderful day with the bat as they successfully took down the Pakistan bowling attack comprising of the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal to post 175/6 in 20 overs during the Group D match in 2012. Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who came in at No.3, was the chief architect of the innings with his spectacular 84 from 54 balls. Coming in to chase, Pakistan openers Mohammad Hafeez (45 from 47 balls) and Imran Nazir (72 from 26 balls) took the target bit seriously and piled on a blazing 124 runs stand in just 13.3 overs to knock out Bangladesh out of the game. Unfortunately, both of them departed in the 14th over. Nasir Jamshed and Kamran Akmal finished the easy job of getting the remaining runs with Pakistan winning the match by 8 wickets.
