6. West Indies – 179 v Australia, 2014:
Australia had a tough time facing the tricky West Indies bowling attack in the Group 2 match in World T20 2014. None of the Aussie batsmen could do anything majorly significant with the bat but Glenn Maxwell (45 from 22) and Brad Hodge (35 from 26 balls) along with valuable cameos from the lower order batsmen eventually propelled the team to a worthy target of 179 runs for the opposition to chase. The Caribbean Kings began with a bang in reply. Chris Gayle (53 from 35 balls) struck a fine half-century. Gayle’s innings formed the backbone of the chase. The game was kept alive by Doug Bollinger and Mitchell Starc who struck during the middle over. But, Dwayne Bravo (27 from 12 balls) and Darren Sammy (34 from 13 balls) powered the Windies efforts and enabled the team to chase down the target with 6 wickets in hand.
