Netherlands and Ireland played a very interesting high-scoring game when they met at the Sylhet Stadium in 2014. Ireland put up 189/4 with the help of brilliant efforts from the top order with Andre Poynter (57 from 38 balls) top scoring for the Irish. The Dutch, in reply, looked in a brutal mood and chased down the target with 6 wickets in hands and a whopping 6.1 overs to spare! The unreal looking numbers became a possibility because of some blistering batting performances from opener Stephen Myburgh (63 from 23 balls), skipper Peter Borren (31 from 15 balls), Tom Copper (45 from 15 balls) and the unbeaten 40 runs from just 22 balls. The Netherlands team score at a pace of 13.65 runs per over as opposed to the required run rate of 9.45 at the start of the chase.
