Australia demolished South Africa in their group match in the 2007 World Cup. Matthew Hayden’s 101, Ricky Ponting’s 91 and Michael Clarke’s 92 led Australia to 377/6 in 50 overs. South Africa could only make 294 runs in return, thanks to 92 from AB de Villiers and 74 from Captain Graeme Smith. Australia won the encounter by 83 runs.
