Matthew Hayden (181), Shane Watson (68) took Australia to an imposing 346 runs. New Zealand slipped to 5-116 in the chase. But Craig McMillan (117) and Brendon McCullum (86) gave enough fire power to Kiwi chase and took New Zealand to the brink of victory which they completed thanks to some last minute hitting by Mark Gillespie (28 off 15).
