With a whopping capacity of 1,00,024, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, popularly known as the MCG, occupies second place. The stadium is the ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ of cricket grounds. It holds the record for hosting the most number of international matches. The MCG has hosted a staggering 274 international cricket matches so far, including 112 Tests, 149 ODI’s, and 13 T20Is.
The highest ever total at the MCG in Test cricket is 624/8 by Australia against Pakistan in the year 2016. The highest individual score at this ground is 307 by Robert Cooper in the year 1966.
As far as ODI cricket is concerned, the highest team total is 344/8 by the ICC World XI against the Asian XI. On the other hand, the highest individual score on this ground in ODI cricket is 180 by Jason Roy in the year 2018.
