Pakistan rode off to a blazing start thanks to a sizzling half century by Ahmed Shehzad 54 (34). Abdul Razzaq then provided some finishing touches with a hammering 34 off just 13 balls as Pakistan went on to post 183/6 in their 20 overs. In reply, the Kiwi batsmen seemed clueless as apart from Styris 45 (34), no one even managed to cross double figures with the top 4 batsmen getting out for ducks. Afridi and Razzaq accounted for 7 Kiwi wickets as Pakistan won comfortably by 103 runs.
