IPL is all about scoring big and quick, and the best possible way for a batsmen to score fast is hit a six. And since this has become a habit and a routine affair now, gradually the sixes now travel not only over the ropes but some of them are monstrous hits and travel many a miles. He hit this six off one of the best death bowlers, Lasith Malinga. Malinga fired in with a Yorker expecting to get the tail ender out, but Praveen made room for himself and hit the ball right over the long off region for a huge 124m six. 1. Albie Morkel – 125m: This 125m long blow by South African all-rounder Albie Morkel is the longest six in IPL so far, it came in the inaugural season and continues to be the furthest hit six till date. Pragyan Ojha bowled a flighted delivery and Albie pounced upon it and slogged it over the mid- wicket region. The left-hander hit this areal shot and the ball went too far to be traced.
