Royal Challengers Bangalore considered one of the strongest batting line-ups in the IPL with the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle forming the top 3 any side would get the status. Over the years RCB has posted and chased down some of the highest scores in the leagues but in the 27th match of IPL 10 the team was completely out of sorts.

On a pitch where pacers made a good use, Deccan Chargers did the same against Kochi after setting a target of 130. Led by Ishant Sharma, Deccan Chargers charged down the Tuskers from Kochi as 5 of the top 6 batsmen recorded ducks. Thanks to a five-fer from Ishant, KTK were reeling at 11 for 6. In front of some quality bowling of Rajasthan, Bangalore’s world class players hand their hands down as they were bowled out for just 70 recording the third least score in IPL. The first wicket fell at 16 but Pollock’s spell reduced it to 35 for 6. Bravo, Raje and Thronely added their hands in stopping Ganguly and Agarkar’s rescue act as KKR bowled out for 67.

Chasing Bangalore’s 133, Rajasthan got reduced to 28 for 5 thanks to Praveen Kumar and Ryder’s efforts. But it was Kumble who didn’t allow the middle-lower order batsmen of Rajasthan to score much. Royal Challengers Bangalore considered one of the strongest batting line-ups in the IPL with the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle forming the top 3 any side would get the status. Over the years RCB has posted and chased down some of the highest scores in the leagues but in the 27th match of IPL 10 the team was completely out of sorts.
They were out chasing a modest total of 132 runs posted by the Kolkata Knight Riders but Virat was out for a golden duck and the team slid to the lowest total in the history of the IPL. KKR pacers were spot on with the job Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Woakes and Umesh Yadav enjoyed bowling on the surface that had some assistance to offer and kept plucking wickets almost every over to crumble for a mere 49 runs.
