There was a time when a 300 plus total was largely considered a safe one to defend and mighty difficult to chase. However with the evolution of the game and the rise of the T20 format, scoring above 6 runs an over is not a difficult task in cricket. The fielding restrictions, rules like usage of 2 new balls in an innings, flat pitches and the quality of bats have all contributed in making high scoring encounters a regular feature of the international game. Here are the top 10 players to be involved in most 300 plus totals of their teams. 10. Virender Sehwag (India)- 43: Virender Sehwag. He was the main architect of India’s highest ODI total of 418, as he scored 219 of those runs. India won 34 matches, lost 8 and tied one.
