6. George Bailey- Hobart Hurricanes
The 32 years old right-handed batsman and the captain of the Hobart Hurricanes, George Bailey started playing county cricket in 2005-06 season when he was selected to play for Tasmania. His performances with the bat and his leadership qualities proved in county seasons did not go unnoticed as he was selected to the Australian T20I squad in the series against India; debuted as captain in T20I cricket. He also replaced Cameron White as the captain of the T20I side, a really wandering decision by the selectors considering previous experiences. He responded taking his side to the 2012 T20 WC to the semifinals. In this year’s IPL, he led his team KIXP to the finals. A very calm headed captain and a middle order batsman, Bailey has played 99 T20 matches, where he has managed to score 1793 runs with a satisfactory average of 28.46 and strike rate of 135.53.
