Top 10 players with most dismissals in 2015 World Cup: World Cup has seen some brilliant displays of fielding and wicket keeping in the 48 matches. Some great catches in slips or outfield, while some catches taken by the wicket keepers behind the stumps. Here are the top 10 fielders and wicketkeepers who have taken the most dismissals in the World Cup.
10. Mushfiqur Rahim (Ban)

Bangladesh’s wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim dismissed 8 batsmen with 7 catches and 1 stumping behind the stumps. He was also instrumental in Bangladesh’s journey to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. It was the first time they qualified for the knockout phase in their 5th World Cup attempt.
9. Jos Buttler (Eng)

England wicket keeper Jos Butler was the only bright spot in the dark cloud that was England’s dismal 2015 World Cup campaign. He dismissed 8 batsmen behind the stumps by taking 8 catches. He also contributed with the bat, but the overall collective failure of the English team overshadowed his praise worthy performance.
8. Rilee Rossouw (SA)

South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw took 9 catches in 6 World Cup matches. He was one of the best fielders in the World Cup patrolling the outfield in the Proteas matches. He also did his part with the bat in the matches he got to play, but South Africa missed a trick by not getting him to open the innings and rather sticking to De Kock.
7. Quinton de Kock (SA)

Quinton de Kock dismissed 10 batsmen with 9 catches and 1 stumping in 8 matches he played. Though he was good with gloves, his form with the bat was dismal to say the least. He scratched around for runs in the group matches, finally making 78* against Sri Lanka in the quarterfinals. South Africa persisted with him as the opener, despite benching Rilee Rossouw who was in good form before the World Cup.

Scotland’s wicket keeper Matthew Cross took 9 catches and 1 stumping in the World Cup to dismiss 10 batsmen. Though Scotland failed to win any match in the World Cup, they did have some brilliant individual performances from Josh Davey, Kyle Coetzer and Matthew Cross.
7. Umar Akmal (Pak)

Pakistan’s Umar Akmal kept wickets for the group stages taking 8 catches. He was then replaced as the keeper by Sarfraz Ahmed, due to poor keeping form and that affecting his batting. Akmal also took 4 catches as fielder in the remaining matches. But overall, he had a disappointing World Cup with the bats and gloves.
4. Luke Ronchi (NZ)

New Zealand’s Luke Ronchi has dismissed 13 batsmen in this World Cup. He has taken 12 catches and 1 stumping. Though he has not contributed much with the bat so far, Ronchi has been exceptional with the gloves keeping to swinging deliveries from Boult, Southee and Milne.
3. Denesh Ramdin (WI)

Despite West Indies losing in the QFs, Denesh Ramdin shined for them behind the stumps. He took 13 catches to record 13 dismissals in the tournament. His best came in the match against Pakistan, where he contributed to Pakistan’s stunning collapse to 1/4.

Indian captain MS Dhoni dismissed 15 batsmen via 15 catches in this 2015 World Cup. He led India to 7 successive wins in the tournament, losing just 1 match against Australia in the semi-finals, which knocked them out of the tournament. But Dhoni shined with both bat and gloves in the tournament.

Australian Brad Haddin has dismissed the most batsmen- 16 in this World Cup. He has taken 16 catches, helping the Aussie attack dominate the opposition batting even more. He has taken 2 of the best catches of the World Cup and at 37 years of age, it is amazing to see such agility from him.
