The former left-handed Australian batsman is regarded as one of the best finishers in ODI cricket. His sensational batting helped Australia win a number of matches. Michael Bevan anchored the innings for them and stayed till the end to set-up many famous wins for the Aussies. He played 232 matches, scoring 6912 runs at an average of 53.58. He scored 46 half-centuries and 6 tons.  Bevan will long be remembered for his amazing innings against the West Indies at Sydney in 1996 and New Zealand at Melbourne in 2002, when his nerveless batting with the tail-enders secured nail-biting victories for the Aussies.
