<p>The former thunderous opening batsman of New Zealand was a decent medium pacer and did the job of sneaking in a number of overs in the middle quite efficiently. <p>Whenever India required an extra pacer in the period of the late 90s and early 2000s, Sourav Ganguly was the definite and the immediate option for the team. With his right arm medium pace, Ganguly did come in more than handy for India on a number of occasions. In 311 matches, bowling in for 171 innings, Ganguly struck a total of 100 wickets with 2 five wicket hauls and an individual best of 5/16 in a match.</p>

<p>The newest member to the 10000 runs club in ODIs is also in the list as he is known for bringing in breakthroughs for Sri Lanka at crucial situations. Dilshan has so far succeeded in doing the role of an extra bowler for Sri Lanka and he has been pretty much economical as his economy rate lies less than 5. He has bowled for 201 innings in 327 ODIs and managed to clinch 106 wickets.</p>
<h4><strong>4. Aravinda de Silva &#8211; 106 wickets:</strong></h4>

<p>The former Sri Lankan star, one the pivotal characters of the Sri Lankan batting line up did come handy with the ball on a number of occasions. In fact, during the ultimate phase of his career, Aravinda de Silva was known for his incredible spinning spells and he turned Sri Lanka’s fate in the ICC Champions Trophy of 2002 with his glamorous bowling abilities. <p>The master blaster of India was an entertaining bowler to say the least. He was a kind of bowler who could bowl six different deliveries in an over which obviously left the batsmen clueless as what would come next. Also he did the role of a seam up bowler as well as a spinner for India. In 464 ODIs, Sachin managed to clinch a total of 154 wickets with 2 five wicket hauls and the best performance of 5/32.</p>
<h4><strong>2. Chris Gayle &#8211; 163 wickets:</strong></h4>

<p>The Jamaican Giant with his slow and steady spinning deliveries has managed to bring in breakthroughs for West Indies on a number of occasions. In a total of 269 matches, Christopher Henry Gayle managed to clinch a total of 163 wickets at an average of over 35. Also, he has got a 5 wicket haul by his name and correspondingly his best performance is 5/46 in an ODI.</p>
<h4><strong>1. Steve Waugh &#8211; 195 wickets: </strong></h4>

<p>Leading the chart is the former skipper of the Australian line up, the elder of the Waugh brothers. Steve Waugh did manage to clinch a total of 195 wickets bowling in 207 of 325 matches that he played in. Also, his right arm medium pace did serve as a bonus for the Australian side and further strengthened the team to a good extent. The elder Waugh also stands to be one of the leading wicket takers in ODIs overall.</p>
