The Adelaide Oval is one of the cricket’s most picturesque venues to play cricket. The Adelaide Oval was opened in 1873. The ground is actually oval shaped which makes straight sixes a rarity but the ones square of the wicket are more common. It has a capacity of holding 50,000 spectators at once. So far, 81 ODIs have been played in this venue. The first ODI played on this ground played between Australia and West Indies in the year 1975. In ODIs, Michael Clarke (626 runs) and Brett Lee (23) wickets top the list of the highest run getters and wicket takers at this venue.
