There don’t come cricketers more talented than Rachin Ravindra. Touted to become one of New Zealand’s future batting leaders right from his U-19 days, Rachin has gone from strength to strength since making his international debut in 2021. The southpaw has amassed 1057 runs in 30 Test innings and racked up 1082 runs in 26 ODI innings. A breakthrough World Cup 2023 saw him earn an IPL contract of INR 1.8 crore from Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2024.

Not only is Rachin an exquisite batter, but he is also a handy left-arm spinner who is more than capable of sending down overs whenever his side requires them. The budding batting all-rounder is a proficient fielder too. There have been multiple instances of Rachin being positioned at hotspots on the field like the deep midwicket or long-on fence, mainly for his dynamic athleticism and powerful throws. It was courtesy of Rachin’s flat throw from the squarish deep third region which ended India’s first innings in the third Test of the historic three-match series at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
