Winning 26 times and losing out on 13 occasions he stands at 10th position in the list of the most successful Test captains. 11 matches ended in a draw as the average reads 35.07 with a highest team total of 628. Taylor himself, was a stylish batsman, scoring 7525 runs along with 19 centuries and 40 fifties.
