Top 10 Teams with Most Sixes in ODI Cricket: Sixes are the ultimate prize on offer off a ball in the game of cricket. Hitting the ball cleanly is an art mastered by some legends of the game over the years in cricket. A frenzy ensues once a batsman gets going in ODIs which is a treat for spectators around the world. There have been some massive sixes scored in One Day International cricket today. Here’s a list of Top 10 Teams with Most Sixes in ODI Cricket. 10. Bangladesh – 586 sixes: Bangladesh. (© Getty Images) The Bangladesh team has scored a total of 586 sixes in ODIs so far in a combined 312 matches they have played so far. It is worth noting that their overall average is just 22.26 in 50-50 matches. Players like Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have displayed their clean hitting skills in recent times and Bangladesh has emerged as a serious contender in recent times. Their 1448 sixes have resulted in a world best strike rate of 78.46 and also the best overall average in the world of 33.23. Their total of 2126 sixes have come in 855 matches since 1973. The 8th best ODI team at the moment has used a total of 208 players in ODIs so far. They also have the record of most ducks in 50-overs cricket with 615. But they have compensated that with some massive hits around the ground. Shahid Afridi tops the list for Pakistan and is among the leading six hitters in international cricket. 2. West Indies – 2152 sixes: West Indies. They have almost played 150 matches less than the top placed team in this list and the difference in sixes hit is not that huge. 1. India – 2230 sixes: India. Team India has hit a massive 2230 sixes in ODI cricket since they started playing in the year 1973. India’s overall average in ODIs is 30.47 and their strike rate is 76.79. Players like Navjot Sidhu, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni have or are playing for India and thus the number of sixes hit looks normal for such a talented team.
