Sri Lankan batsmen have played some of the best cricket in recent times and they have also been world champions of ODIs in 1996. Also they have scored a total of 800&nbsp;fifties in One-Day Internationals over the years since 1975.

Considering the fact that South Africa only started playing in 1991, it is a remarkable achievement to be the 6th best team in this list. Their 1448 sixes have resulted in a world best strike rate of 78.46&nbsp;and also the best overall average in the world of 33.23. Batsmen like AB de Villiers, Smith, Klusener, Kallis and McKenzie have donned the shirts of this nation and have treated us all with some of the best attacking displays in world cricket.

The runners up from the CWC 2015&nbsp;have scored 1871 sixes in ODIs. New Zealand’s performance&nbsp;at the recent ICC CWC 2015 did not come in as a surprise. Corey Anderson, Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill played&nbsp;some of the finest knocks&nbsp;which were studded with some huge sixes, pleasing and amazing the crowds around the world. Guptill scored a brilliant 237* in the World Cup which included some beautiful sixes and fours.

The current best team of the world in ODIs has scored a fascinating 1904 sixes in One-Day International&nbsp;cricket&nbsp;over the years since their first ODI in 1971. Australia has always been among the best teams in the world and they are the team to beat at most International competitions. Australian batsmen have scored a world record 1053 fifties in ODIs combined and it is no surprise seeing the number of boundaries that they have hit in the format.

Pakistan is among the three teams in the world who have hit more than 2000 sixes in One-Day Internationals. Their total of 2126 sixes have come in 855 matches since 1973. The 8th best ODI team at the moment has used a total of 208 players in ODIs so far. They also have the record of most ducks in&nbsp;50-overs cricket with 615. But they have compensated that with some massive hits around the ground. Shahid Afridi tops the list for Pakistan and is among the leading six hitters in international cricket.

Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy and Lendl Simmons are some of the current players in the Caribbean nation’s team. It is hardly surprising and almost an inevitability that West Indies are at 2nd place in this list. Chris Gayle’s 215 off 147 balls in the recent ICC CWC 2015 against Zimbabwe alone consisted of 16 sixes. They have almost played 150 matches less than the top placed team in this list and the difference in sixes hit is not that huge.

Team India has hit a massive 2230 sixes in ODI&nbsp;cricket&nbsp;since they started playing in the year 1973. India’s overall average in ODIs is 30.47&nbsp;and their strike rate is 76.79. Players like Navjot Sidhu, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni have or are playing for India and thus the number of sixes hit looks normal for such a talented team.
