The SRH franchise is the newest entrant into the IPL after Deccan Chargers was not able to carry on any further. The Sunrisers’ have managed to accumulate 7480 runs in the fewer seasons they’ve played. That is high considering the fact that they’ve played only 3 seasons. But of course that isn’t surprising as they have big names like Warner and Dhawan in the team.
8. Deccan Chargers -11448 runs:

The now-scrapped DC franchise was one of the 8 teams that crossed the 11000 run mark. The team was a very popular side with the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Rohit Sharma, Shahid Afridi, Andrew Symonds and other stars representing the side. The winner of the inaugural IPL edition, RR has a combined 17661 runs in its 8 seasons. The team never was intent on buying the big name batsmen, but a good bunch of domestic talent and consistent performers. That is one of the reasons why they have a healthy aggregate close to 18000 runs in the Indian T20 League.

6. Kolkata Knight Riders &#8211; 18082 runs:

The 2-tiime IPL champion managed to collect 18082 runs and is one of the 6 teams to cross the 18000 run mark. The reason why they are lagging behind despite winning the trophy twice is because they performed miserably in the first few seasons. KKR hasn’t played as many matches as the other teams, as they could not qualify for the later stages of the league and that is the reason why they have scored a lesser number of runs.

5. Delhi Daredevils &#8211; 18463 runs:

Delhi Daredevils has been an unsuccessful IPL franchise and haven’t made it to the finals even once. The side which had Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir to start with has tried various permutations and combinations to succeed but is yet to get it right. High on promises, low on performance has been a character of their stay in the IPL. Nevertheless, they’ve scored 18463 runs in all the 8 and the ongoing 9th season combined.

One of the most entertaining batting sides of the IPL, RCB has managed to surpass the 19332 run mark and is only one among the 4 teams to achieve the feat. With limited overs specialists like Gayle, Kohli and AB de Villiers in their line-up, runs are bound to come in heaps for this team.
3. Kings XI Punjab &#8211; 19431 runs:

The team has 7 individual centurions against its name. Kings XI Punjab has blown hot and cold in certain seasons of the game. Failed to deliver it mattered the most, KXIP has turned down from a team with smaller names and bigger performances to a team with big names yet no challenge. So an aggregate of 19431 runs isn’t surprising given the fact that they’ve always relied heavily on their batting KXIP is right towards 3rd from the top as the team with most number of runs in the IPL.

2. Mumbai Indians &#8211; 20814 runs:

The former IPL champs are ranked second in this list with an aggregate of 20814 runs. They are a team with a huge fan following and with the likes of Pollard, Rohit we expect them to score these many runs. Two batsmen with most number of runs in the game registered to their name Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting have both played for the team and form a part of its management now, no doubt they have scored the number of runs they have. MI took 8 and half seasons to cross the 20000-run mark.

The best ever IPL side CSK tops this list, and this comes in as no surprises whatsoever. They’ve played the most number of games in the IPL. With the likes of Suresh Raina (Highest scorer in IPL), MS Dhoni, this incredible feat is something they have bloomed on to over the years. Superkings is also the only team in the IPL history to cross 2000o-run mark in just 8 seasons.
