4. Allan Border

At the fourth place, we have the left-handed batting marvel Allan Border. In an ODI career that spanned a decade and a half, Border played 252 innings for Australia and scored 6,524 runs at an average of 30.62. Border also scored 3 hundreds and 39 fifties for Australia in ODI cricket.
Against the England side, Border featured in 42 innings and scored 1302 runs at an average of 36.16. He also scored 9 fifties against England in ODI cricket. Border’s innings of 91 in the Benson and Hedges Cup in the year 1987 will be remembered by Australian fans with a great sense of nostalgia. In a 122-ball epic, Border steadied the Australian innings, and dissected the England bowling attack with methodical brilliance.
His timely half-century allowed Australia to triumph over England by 33 runs. Border played his last ODI for the kangaroos on 8th April 1994 against South Africa.
