1. Glenn McGrath (Aus) (2007) – 26 Wickets
Glenn McGrath broke the most wickets record of 23 wickets held by the Sri Lankan Chaminda Vaas by taking 26 wickets in the 2007 format. McGrath had announced that this would be his last World cup and he ended the World cup with a new record. He was also named the player of the tournament for his 26 wickets and had a fairytale end to his World cup career with a 3rd consecutive World title for the Australian team.
