2. David Warner: 6.72 innings per century
Australia’s opening batsman David Warner has proved to be a nightmare for the bowlers over the years. The left-hander is more of a power hitter and aggressive batsman. However, he has been lately focusing on his ability to bat long and deep into an innings. Throughout the years, he has shown unparalleled consistency in his batting, making him a permanent member of Australia’s cricket team.
The southpaw started his journey as a T20 specialist and later made his way into other formats of the game. He can be termed lucky as he was picked for making an international debut for Australia without playing even a single first-class game. However, he struggled hard to secure a place in the squad and is now a vital cog of Australia’s international setup.
In 121 international innings, the 33-year-old touched the 100-run mark on 18 occasions. Also, Warner has smashed 5,267 ODI runs with 21 half-centuries to his name. Therefore, his innings per century ratio is calculated as 6.72, which is just second when compared to the stats of all the current batsmen across the globe.
