1. Virat Kohli: 5.58 innings per century
The captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli is hailed as the cricketing legend in the modern-day game of cricket. Arguably he is the finest ODI batsman of all time and is certainly the greatest of his generation. The right-handed top-order batsman has equally excelled in all the three formats of the game.
Kohli made his ODI debut for India in 2008 and has been unstoppable since then. He has been an integral part of the Indian squad of 2011, 2015 and 2019 World Cup. Also, the batsman has been on a hundred-hitting spree and will probably surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record of hitting 100 international hundred in coming three to four years. Watching Kohli build his innings in a 50-over match is nothing less than magic.
The Delhi stalwart has featured in 239 One-day Internationals for India, scoring 11,876 runs which include 43 centuries and 58 half-centuries. Virat has maintained an excellent average of 59.34 in this format of the game and is also ranked number 1 in ICC’s ODI batsman list. Thus, he scores a century in the 50-over format after playing an average of 5.58 innings, which is the best ratio when compared to his competitors.
