4. Ross Taylor
At No.4 position, we have the experienced middle-order batsman Ross Taylor. The Kiwi legend has scored a total of 40 International hundreds in as many as 486 innings. He averages a century every 12.15 innings. He also has more International hundreds than any other New Zealand batsman. His tally comprises of 19 Test hundreds and 21 ODI hundreds.
Even at 36 years of age, the right-hander remains as one of the key players in the Kiwi set up. Taylor and Williamson are the most consistent batsman in the New Zealand team. He has also captained the side for a brief period. Scoring hundreds in his backyard is no joke as the swinging conditions give extra assistance to the bowlers.
Batting predominantly at number four, he is the leading run-scorer for New Zealand in Test and ODI cricket. As of June 2020, Taylor has played 433 International matches (101 Tests, 232 ODIs, 100 T20Is) and has scored 17,717 International runs (7,239 runs in Tests, 8,569 runs in ODIs, 1,909 in T20Is). He is currently ranked 15 in Tests, 4 in ODIs, and 42 in T20Is.
