Jaydev Unadkat proved to be the surprise package in the tournament as he is currently giving Bhuvaneshwar Kumar a stiff competition for the Purple cap. This Supergiant has been exceptional, both with the new ball as well as at the death.

With Pune team in distress about the seam bowling option, given that Ashok Dinda was super expensive in the first few matches, Unadkat put his hand up and performed for his franchise. He has taken as many as 21 wickets in just 10 games at an exceptional economy of 7.3 only.

Unadkat’s standout performance came against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he picked a five-wicket haul and delivered a hat-trick maiden in the final over of the match defending 12 runs in a pressure situation. The Saurashtrian has been miserly with his mix of deadly yorkers around the wicket and variations.
