The Associate nations often strike the headlines with their one-odd wins in the big ICC events. But little do we know or notice the big performances by the Associate players. Their knocks, despite winning games for their teams, often go unnoticed just for the reason that they do not have huge fan base as the big Test playing nations. The associate players are equally capable of scoring big when it matters, and they have shown it time and again; sometimes against the other minnow nations and sometimes against the big ten. Here are the top 5 highest individual scores by Associate players in ODI history. Read on to find out who tops the list.
5. Kevin O’ Brien – 142 Vs Kenya
The stylish Irish all-rounder, who made his ODI debut in 2006, is the world record holder for the fastest century in World Cups. He achieved this feat in the ICC World Cup 2011, when he scored a 50 ball century against England to win a historic game for his side. But his highest ODI score remains to be his first ODI century that came against Kenya in 2007. He scored 142 off 125 balls to register his maiden ton. He has a liking for the Kenyan bowlers. A year later, he scored a brisk 83 off 52 against the same opposition, which remains to be another memorable innings by the Irishman.
