West Indies demolished the highest chase record with their 4 wicket win against South Africa when they chased down 231 runs. South Africa scored a mammoth 231 with the help of a brilliant century from Captain Faf du Plessis (119 off 56) and a valuable 47 runs from David Miller.

West Indies was determined to chase the score and Chris Gayle (90 off 41) and Marlon Samuels (60 off 37) stitched a wonderful and quick partnership of 152 runs which laid a platform for hitter like Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and specifically Darren Sammy to finish off the job. Sammy made sure that there was not pressure when there were 27 runs to get off last 2 overs and finished the game with a six off Marchant de Lange.
