Gloucestershire County Cricket Club (GCCC) are quite similar to the top-two entries on this list, in regards to the fact that none of the teams have won their respective tournaments. Despite that, they’ve had a select group of players who’ve dished out some consistent batting brilliance. Case in point being, Gloucestershire occupying the fourth spot on this list with 12 individual centuries.
Chronologically, GCCC are one of the earliest teams to have registered a century in the T20 format. Back in 2003, when the format- as we now know it- was still in its burgeoning days, Australia’s <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ian-harveys-nephew-mackenzie-set-become-youngest-player-play-bbl/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ian Harvey</a> arrived hot onto the English T20 scene and gave an impressive trailer of the power-packed cricket that was to follow with a 50-ball century against Warwickshire.
Aside from that iconic innings, and a runner-up finish in the 2007 season of the Blast, the Gloucs haven’t really tasted much success as a collective unit. But they’ve had some standout individual performances; none better than their former captain, Michael Klinger, who has crossed the three-figure-mark on seven occasions.
Klinger is also the most recent centurion on the team’s roster, courtesy of his swashbuckling 102* against the Kent Spitfires last season. Former New Zealand batsman Hamish Marshall is second on the centurions’ list with 2 hundreds to his name.
<h3>3. Essex Eagles, T20 Blast- 12 centuries</h3>

From two teams that are yet to win a title, the discussion shifts to Essex- the defending champions from last season’s English T20 Blast. Over the years, Essex have boasted some of the most aggressive and mercurial T20 mercenaries in their ranks.
And while the likes of Ryan ten Doeschate, Cameron Delport,<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/former-new-zealand-batsman-jesse-ryder-pleads-guilty-to-drunk-driving/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Jesse Ryder </a>haven’t always been successful at winning them the title, their sensational batting exploits has earned the team a proud, third-position on this list, with a grand total of 12 centurions.
The Eagles’ glorious run-scoring journey started way back in the 2006 season when skipper Ronnie Irani scored an unbeaten, 61-ball century against the Sussex Sharks. The years from 2008-09 saw each one of Graham Napier (152* vs Sussex) and former England captain Sir Alastair Cook (100* vs Surrey)&#8211; a batsman often criticized for his one-dimensionality in Tests- score a hundred apiece in each of the seasons.
Statistically, 2010 was Essex’s most populated year- in terms of century-scoring; with ten Doeschate (102 vs Middlesex), Scott Styris (106* vs Surrey), and Ravi Bopara (105* vs Somerset) notching up hundreds.
English test batsman Tom Westley and Varun Chopra lead the list of Essex centurions with 2 hundreds each. Cameron Delport, their South African Kolpak-contracted star, was the latest entrant to the list when he played a match-winning, 129-run innings against Surrey in the 2019’s group-stage match.
<h3>2. Kings XI Punjab, IPL- 13 centuries</h3>

Much like their Bangalore brethren, the Kings XI Punjab, too, have been one of the Dark Horse teams in the IPL. But despite the glaring absence of silverware in their trophy cabinets, batting-wise, KXIP stands out as one of the top IPL sides; jointly tied with RCB for having 13 centurions, the most for any T20 franchise in the world.
<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/fractured-forearm-rules-shaun-marsh-out-of-2019-world-cup-replacement-named/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shaun Marsh</a> started Punjab’s century-scoring run in grand fashion. Back in the inaugural season, the Australia-based Southpaw compiled a match-winning innings of 115 against the Rajasthan Royals.
Disappointingly, the following 2009 edition was a non-century year. But over the following 2010 and 2011 seasons, Mahela Jayewardene (110* vs KKR), Paul Valthaty (120* vs CSK), and Adam Gilchrist (106 vs RCB) added 3 more hundreds to that tally; Valthaty emerging as the first, domestic centurion for the side.
Ex-player Hashim Amla and KL Rahul, the incumbent captain, each have 2 centuries to their name; the joint-most for any individual KXIP player. Their most recent 100 came just a few nights back in 2020 season itself, when opener Mayank Agarwal scored a sublime 106 off 50-balls against the Rajasthan Royals.
<h3>1. Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL- 13 centuries</h3>

Virat Kohli’s #Playbold army has long had a reputation of underperforming in the Indian Premier League. That said, the team has always prided itself on fielding what has been, arguably, the most mercurial and power-packed batting lineup in the tournament.
A look through their batting stats reaffirms that sentiment; RCB, over the course of 13 seasons, have had 13 centurions in their team- the joint maximum for any T20 franchise in any T20 tournament all over the world.
Their century-scoring journey started in 2009- the second edition of the IPL- when a 19-year-old Manish Pandey played a brilliant, unbeaten innings of 114-runs against the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/bcci-asked-to-pay-inr-4800-crore-to-deccan-chargers-heres-what-actually-happened/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Deccan Chargers </a>at the SuperSport Park in Centurion; thus becoming the first Indian to hit a century in the tournament.
The IPL seasons from 2011-17 saw Bangalore adopt a redefined, top-heavy approach at their batting. While this new approach wasn’t much useful to the side’s title-winning ambitions; it certainly provided for some of the most entertaining cricket fans could ever get a taste of.
Jamaican star opener Chris Gayle made the M Chinnaswamy Stadium his happy hunting ground; scoring as many as 3 centuries there- including an all-time, T20 high-score of 175* against the Pune Warriors India.
Gayle’s batting flamboyance allowed the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to unleash their own free-scoring touch. The duo share 7 (5 Kohli, 2 de Villiers) centuries for RCB among them. The team’s most recent 100 came from Virat Kohli (100 off 58) against the Kolkata Knight Riders last year at the Eden Gardens.
