The final, which was a floodlit affair at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, was contested between Uttar Pradesh and Baroda. The Rajasthan fast bowler who burst onto the domestic scene last year has continued his good work in 2016. In 6 matches he took 14 wickets at 8.57 and an economy rate of 5.00 He took 2 four-wicket hauls with a best of 4/13 against Kerala in Kochi. The right-arm pace bowler has pace and national selectors will keep a close eye on his progress. He even made it to the Indian Board President’s XI side that faced the visiting South Africa in 2015.
