Top 9 bowlers with 5 wicket hauls on World cup debut
2. Ravi Rampaul (WI) 5/51 vs. India (2011)
India faced off against West Indies in Chennai in their 2011 World cup campaign. Thanks to a good bowling effort from the West Indies, India could make only 268 runs in their 50 overs thanks to 119 from Yuvraj Singh.
Ravi Rampaul who was playing his first match in World cup helped the Indian slump with his dismissals of openers Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. He returned to dismiss Yusuf Pathan to end any hopes of an Indian charge in death overs. His 5 wickets cost him 51 runs in his 10 overs.
