The most surprising name in the list of bowlers with most wickets in tests in 2014 is of Dilruwan Perera. He finds himself as the 3rd highest wicket taker in the same year in which he made his debut for Sri Lanka. Perera is a classical off spinner with a fluent action. He was selected to play as a second spinner along with Rangana Herath against Pakistan at Sharjah. He has played only 7 tests and took 37 wickets which makes him the third highest wicket taker this year. Perera registered his career best figures of 5/69 playing against South Africa in Colombo and promises to continue his good performances in future too.
