India vs South Africa 3rd T20i washed out due to rain: 

• The third T20i between India and South Africa was washed out due to wet outfield. South Africa, who already had the series in the bag, were looking for a whitewash while India were looking to salvage some pride by winning the dead rubber. Sachin Tendulkar attends Air Force Day celebrations: 

• Sachin Tendulkar joined the Indian Air Force personnel at the Hindon air base near Ghaziabad as they celebrated their 83rd anniversary on Thursday. Navjot Singh Sidhu’s condition stable: 

• Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday for the treatment of DVT, is reportedly stable. Deep Vein Thrombosis is a condition of clotting of blood due to injury or non-activity of muscles. Sidhu experienced an injury post his Kailash Yatra, and he had a severe attack of DVT yesterday.

• NSW successfully defended a modest target of 267, thanks to some superlative bowling performance. Australian pacer Mitchell Stark took 4 wickets just for 27 runs to help NSW restrict South Australia for just 110 runs, winning the match by  156 runs.

BCCI appoints Mumbai Based auditor: 

• BCCI has appointed a new auditor, post taking a decision to shift it’s treasury from Chennai to Mumbai. The Indian board has hired M/S Gokhale & Sathe, a Mumbai-based firm, to replace PB Vijayraghavan & Co. from Chennai as their Internal Auditor for the accounting year 2015-16 with immediate effect.
